Production Shift Leader

WHAT YOU DO

• Lead and supervise a team of production operatives to achieve daily production targets
• Promote and maintain high standards of health & safety, food safety, and quality compliance
• Monitor performance, attendance, and conduct within the team
• Ensure production lines and processes are operated safely and efficiently
• Coordinate staffing levels, breaks, and shift handovers
• Support training, coaching, and development of team members
• Identify and escalate operational issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure accurate completion of production and compliance documentation

WHO YOU ARE

• Proven previous experience in a team leadership or supervisory role within a manufacturing, production, or beverage/food environment
• Strong communication and people management skills
• Ability to lead by example and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of health & safety and quality standards in manufacturing
• A flexible approach to shift working
• A minimum ILM Level 2 in Leadership and team skills qualification (or equivalent)
• Preferably IOSH Managing Safely qualification
• Food Safety Level 2 or Level 3
• Proficient IT skills for reporting and production systems
• Experience working in a high-volume beverage or FMCG environment
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement (5S, OPEX, Kaizen)
